Picture This is a free visual vocabulary game for kids in Years 4–6 (ages 8–11). The kid sees a diagram and types what it shows — a peninsula, a hypotenuse, an oxbow lake, a solar eclipse, a pulley. It covers Cambridge Primary geography, maths and science terms with 47 cards. Hosted by Professor Hoot the Owl.

Yes. Picture This is free forever. No ads, no subscription, no third-party trackers. Just a forest name (no email, no parent details) so we can track scores.

Do I need to sign up to play Picture This?

Accepted Answer

No subscription or account. Kids pick a forest name (auto-suggested, no real names required) and start playing. To send a drawing to Hoot for review they need a forest name; the quiz itself works anonymously.

Years 4 to 6 of UK / Cambridge Primary, roughly ages 8 to 11. The vocabulary is upper-primary level — terms like hypotenuse, meander and refraction that are hard to teach without a picture.

Yes. There's a drawing studio inside the game. Kids can sketch any concept on a canvas and send it to Professor Hoot for review. Drawings stay private — Hoot checks every one before it travels any further. Three drawings per day per kid.
